01COMPANY PROFILE

Agencia Marítima Sur S.A. was founded in 1989 jointly by its present- day directors and highly qualified personnel, all of whom are well versed in local and regional practices related with the marine business. Working from the Montevideo Port, the Company renders services to vessels operating in other ports such as Nueva Palmira, Fray Bentos, Punta del Este, and other Uruguayan commercial ports.

During its years of professional activity, the Company has acquired vast experience in contracting and attending to general cargo and full container vessels, as well as tankers arriving to the jetty of the state owned petrol company ANCAP, passenger vessels, vessels carrying grain in bulk and projects.

It should be noted that Agencia Marítima Sur S.A., despite being related to numerous ship-owners worldwide, does not represent any regular line and therefore, is not obliged to reserve cargo space for any particular ship-owner; this means that the Company can offer its clients the best quotations and at the same time the best ports of call, for cargo destined all over the world.
